Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Growth North in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (2,445 people or 19.6%)
  • Community and Personal Service Workers (1,782 people or 14.3%)
  • Technicians and Trades Workers (1,755 people or 14.1%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 5,982 people in total or 47.9% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, Lalor employed 16.1% in Professionals; 11.7% in Community and Personal Service Workers; and 14.7% in Technicians and Trades Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Growth North and Lalor were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed as Professionals (19.6% compared to 16.1%)
