Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Green Wedge in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (725 males or 34.8%)
  • Manufacturing (210 males or 10.1%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (128 males or 6.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,063 males in total or 51.0% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, the City of Whittlesea employed 18.9% in Construction; 10.9% in Manufacturing; and 10.2% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Green Wedge and the City of Whittlesea were:
