Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Epping North in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (1,549 males or 16.7%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (1,255 males or 13.6%)
  • Manufacturing (1,098 males or 11.9%)

In combination, these three industries employed 3,902 males in total or 42.1% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, the City of Whittlesea employed 18.9% in Construction; 10.2% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing; and 10.9% in Manufacturing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Epping North and the City of Whittlesea were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in transport, postal and warehousing (13.6% compared to 10.2%)
  • A smaller percentage of males employed in construction (16.7% compared to 18.9%)
