Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Rural Balance in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (301 people or 20.9%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (174 people or 12.1%)
  • Education and Training (127 people or 8.9%)

In combination, these three industries employed 602 people in total or 41.9% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, the City of Whittlesea employed 11.4% in Construction; 15.3% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 7.7% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Rural Balance and the City of Whittlesea were:
