Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Epping - South in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (498 people or 14.0%)
  • Retail Trade (385 people or 10.8%)
  • Construction (356 people or 10.0%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,239 people in total or 34.9% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Lalor employed 13.1% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.3% in Retail Trade; and 9.8% in Construction.

The major difference between the jobs held by the population of Epping - South and Lalor was:
