Analysis of the household/family types in South Morang in 2021 compared to the City of Whittlesea shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a lower proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 44.2% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 11.8% were one-parent families, compared with 41.2% and 12.6% respectively for the City of Whittlesea.
There were a lower proportion of lone person households and a lower proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 17.0% compared to 17.5% in the City of Whittlesea while the proportion of couples without children was 19.3% compared to 21.3% in the City of Whittlesea.
