Dominant groups

Analysis of the male five year age groups of Doreen in 2021 compared to Donnybrook shows that there was a higher proportion of males in the younger age groups (under 15) as well as a higher proportion of males in the older age groups (65+).

Overall, 28.6% of the male population was aged between 0 and 15, and 7.4% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 25.8% and 3.4% respectively for Donnybrook.

The major differences between the male age structure of Doreen and Donnybrook were:

  • A larger percentage of males aged 15 to 19 (7.2% compared to 2.5%)
