Analysis of the car ownership of the households in Thomastown in 2021 compared to Donnybrook shows that 86.5% of the households owned at least one car, while 8.9% did not, compared with 88.5% and 0.0% respectively in Donnybrook.
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a larger proportion who owned just one car; a smaller proportion who owned two cars; and a larger proportion who owned three cars or more.
Overall, 38.5% of the households owned one car; 32.4% owned two cars; and 15.6% owned three cars or more, compared with 26.3%; 47.2% and 15.0% respectively for Donnybrook.
