Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Tamworth Urban Area in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Technicians and Trades Workers (2,646 males or 23.5%)
  • Labourers (2,060 males or 18.3%)
  • Managers (1,450 males or 12.9%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 6,156 males in total or 54.7% of the employed male resident population.

In comparison, Tamworth CBD - East Tamworth employed 17.4% in Technicians and Trades Workers; 12.3% in Labourers; and 16.1% in Managers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Tamworth Urban Area and Tamworth CBD - East Tamworth were:
