Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Tamworth Urban Area in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (4,201 people or 18.8%)
  • Labourers (3,224 people or 14.4%)
  • Technicians and Trades Workers (3,133 people or 14.0%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 10,558 people in total or 47.3% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, Manilla and District employed 12.1% in Professionals; 14.5% in Labourers; and 13.8% in Technicians and Trades Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Tamworth Urban Area and Manilla and District were:
