Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Tamworth Regional Council in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (3,908 females or 27.6%)
  • Education and Training (2,056 females or 14.5%)
  • Retail Trade (1,678 females or 11.8%)

In combination, these three industries employed 7,642 females in total or 53.9% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Nundle - Rural South employed 20.3% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 16.0% in Education and Training; and 11.0% in Retail Trade.
