Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Tamworth Urban Area in 2021 compared to Manilla and District shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a similar proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 25.0% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 12.7% were one-parent families, compared with 19.3% and 12.8% respectively for Manilla and District.

There were a lower proportion of lone person households and a similar proportion of couples without children.
