Analysis of the qualifications of the female population in Foster and surrounds in 2021 compared to the South West Coastal District shows that there was a lower proportion of females holding formal qualifications (Bachelor or higher degree; Advanced Diploma or Diploma; or Vocational qualifications), and a higher proportion of females with no formal qualifications.
Overall, 47.3% of the female population aged 15 and over held educational qualifications, and 38.9% had no qualifications, compared with 52.2% and 38.2% respectively for the South West Coastal District.
The major differences between qualifications held by the female population of Foster and surrounds and the South West Coastal District were:
- A larger percentage of females with Advanced Diploma or Diplomas (12.4% compared to 11.0%)
- A smaller percentage of females with Bachelor or Higher degrees (20.4% compared to 26.4%)
