Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in South West Coastal District in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Managers (368 people or 26.6%)
  • Professionals (235 people or 17.0%)
  • Technicians and Trades Workers (189 people or 13.6%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 792 people in total or 57.1% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, South Gippsland Shire employed 19.6% in Managers; 15.8% in Professionals; and 15.0% in Technicians and Trades Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of the South West Coastal District and South Gippsland Shire were:
