Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Foster and surrounds in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (103 females or 25.4%)
- Education and Training (53 females or 13.1%)
- Retail Trade (44 females or 10.8%)
In combination, these three industries employed 200 females in total or 49.3% of the total employed female resident population.
In comparison, South Gippsland Shire employed 23.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 12.2% in Education and Training; and 10.8% in Retail Trade.
