Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Rural North East in 2021 compared to Foster and surrounds shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 25.3% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 7.4% were one-parent families, compared with 13.1% and 6.6% respectively for Foster and surrounds.
