An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Mount Cotton in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (547 females or 27.2%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (492 females or 24.5%)
- Community and Personal Service Workers (300 females or 14.9%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 1,339 females in total or 66.6% of the employed female resident population.
In comparison, Ormiston employed 26.8% in Professionals; 24.3% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 15.6% in Community and Personal Service Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Mount Cotton and Ormiston were:
- A larger percentage of females employed as Technicians and Trades Workers (4.4% compared to 3.3%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed as Managers (12.0% compared to 13.1%)
