Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Cleveland in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (857 females or 24.5%)
  • Education and Training (436 females or 12.5%)
  • Retail Trade (356 females or 10.2%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,649 females in total or 47.2% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Mount Cotton employed 21.4% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 17.5% in Education and Training; and 12.0% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Cleveland and Mount Cotton were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in health care and social assistance (24.5% compared to 21.4%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed in accommodation and food services (6.5% compared to 4.4%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed in education and training (12.5% compared to 17.5%)
