Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Rural Remainder in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Mining (92 males or 19.5%)
  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (79 males or 16.7%)
  • Manufacturing (71 males or 15.0%)

In combination, these three industries employed 242 males in total or 51.3% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Greater Perth employed 9.9% in Mining; 0.8% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; and 7.4% in Manufacturing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Rural Remainder and Greater Perth were:
