Dominant groups
Analysis of the male five year age groups of Rosebud in 2021 compared to Red Hill Ward shows that there was a higher proportion of males in the younger age groups (under 15) as well as a higher proportion of males in the older age groups (65+).
Overall, 16.7% of the male population was aged between 0 and 15, and 26.9% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 15.3% and 25.4% respectively for Red Hill Ward.
The major differences between the male age structure of Rosebud and Red Hill Ward were:
- A larger percentage of males aged 30 to 34 (6.0% compared to 3.2%)
- A larger percentage of males aged 85 and over (3.5% compared to 1.8%)
- A smaller percentage of males aged 20 to 24 (4.0% compared to 8.6%)
