Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Hillside in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Construction (1,010 males or 22.2%)
- Transport, Postal and Warehousing (495 males or 10.9%)
- Manufacturing (461 males or 10.1%)
In combination, these three industries employed 1,966 males in total or 43.1% of the total employed male resident population.
In comparison, Melton East employed 17.9% in Construction; 12.2% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing; and 10.1% in Manufacturing.
