In 2021, the largest age group in Aintree was 35 to 39 year olds. The group that changed the most since 2016 was 30 to 34 year olds, increasing by 617 people.

Dominant groups

Analysis of the female five year age groups of Aintree in 2021 compared to Strathtulloh shows that there was a higher proportion of females in the younger age groups (under 15) and a similar proportion of females in the older age groups (65+).

Overall, 31.2% of the female population was aged between 0 and 15, and 3.1% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 28.8% and 3.0% respectively for Strathtulloh.

The major differences between the female age structure of Aintree and Strathtulloh were:

  • A larger percentage of females aged 35 to 39 (15.6% compared to 11.6%)
  • A larger percentage of females aged 5 to 9 (11.9% compared to 8.5%)
