Dominant groups
Analysis of the language spoken at home by people aged 25 to 34 years in the City of Melton in 2021 compared to Greater Melbourne shows that there was a smaller proportion of people who spoke English only, and a larger proportion of those speaking a non-English language (either exclusively, or in addition to English).
Overall, 49.3% of people aged 25 to 34 years spoke English only, and 41.9% of% spoke a non-English language, compared with 55.7% and 38.9% respectively for Greater Melbourne.
