Dominant groups
Analysis of the language spoken at home by people aged 18 to 24 years in the City of Melton in 2021 compared to Greater Melbourne shows that there was a smaller proportion of people who spoke English only, and a similar proportion of those speaking a non-English language (either exclusively, or in addition to English).
Overall, 60.0% of people aged 18 to 24 years spoke English only, and 32.6% of% spoke a non-English language, compared with 62.6% and 32.5% respectively for Greater Melbourne.
