Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Forestdale in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (179 people or 13.4%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (174 people or 13.0%)
  • Manufacturing (119 people or 8.9%)

In combination, these three industries employed 472 people in total or 35.3% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Logan City employed 12.2% in Construction; 13.6% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 9.1% in Manufacturing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Forestdale and Logan City were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed in professional, scientific and technical services (6.4% compared to 4.4%)
