Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Gunnedah Shire in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Machinery Operators And Drivers (759 males or 24.6%)
  • Technicians and Trades Workers (670 males or 21.7%)
  • Managers (602 males or 19.5%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 2,031 males in total or 65.7% of the employed male resident population.

In comparison, Australia employed 10.7% in Machinery Operators And Drivers; 20.9% in Technicians and Trades Workers; and 16.0% in Managers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Gunnedah Shire and Australia were:
