Please take care when comparing the "Rented" and "Other" categories between 2016 and 2021; most overseas-born communities show some increase in the "Other" category due to the definitional change. This represents a very small proportion of the population (generally 1-2%) and has minimal effect on the overall view of tenure types in overseas-born populations.

Analysis of the housing tenure of people born in Philippines in Frankston City in 2021 compared to Greater Melbourne shows that there was a larger proportion of people born in Philippines in households who owned their dwelling; a smaller proportion purchasing their dwelling; and a smaller proportion who were renters.
Overall, 18.6% of people born in Philippines were in households who owned their dwelling; 43.1% were purchasing, and 36.8% were renting, compared with 14.3%, 46.2% and 37.8% respectively for Greater Melbourne.
