Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Frankston South in 2016 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (1,205 people or 13.8%)
  • Retail Trade (1,025 people or 11.7%)
  • Construction (989 people or 11.3%)

In combination, these three industries employed 3,219 people in total or 36.9% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Frankston City employed 13.4% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 11.6% in Retail Trade; and 11.9% in Construction.
