Analysis of the ancestry responses of the population in Skye in 2011 shows that the top five ancestries nominated were:

  • English (2,743 people or 36.6%)
  • Australian (2,713 people or 36.2%)
  • Scottish (603 people or 8.1%)
  • Irish (553 people or 7.4%)
