There were more technicians and trades workers in Clyde in 2016 than any other occupation.

Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Clyde in 2016 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Technicians and Trades Workers (207 people or 17.3%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (183 people or 15.3%)
- Professionals (182 people or 15.2%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 572 people in total or 47.8% of the employed resident population.
In comparison, the Blacktown City employed 12.7% in Technicians and Trades Workers; 16.4% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 19.0% in Professionals.
