Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in City of Casey in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (17,308 males or 18.4%)
  • Manufacturing (13,285 males or 14.2%)
  • Retail Trade (8,127 males or 8.7%)

In combination, these three industries employed 38,720 males in total or 41.3% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Clyde North employed 14.2% in Construction; 13.2% in Manufacturing; and 9.0% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of the City of Casey and Clyde North were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in construction (18.4% compared to 14.2%)
  • A smaller percentage of males employed in transport, postal and warehousing (8.6% compared to 11.4%)
  • A smaller percentage of males employed in health care and social assistance (5.6% compared to 7.7%)
