Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Harkaway in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (87 people or 16.6%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (61 people or 11.6%)
  • Retail Trade (53 people or 10.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 201 people in total or 38.3% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Victoria employed 9.4% in Construction; 14.1% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 9.4% in Retail Trade.
