Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Hallam in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (483 females or 23.9%)
  • Retail Trade (222 females or 11.0%)
  • Education and Training (191 females or 9.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 896 females in total or 44.4% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Narre Warren employed 23.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 13.1% in Retail Trade; and 11.3% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Hallam and Narre Warren were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in accommodation and food services (7.4% compared to 5.5%)
