Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Casey Coast in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (196 females or 20.8%)
  • Education and Training (106 females or 11.3%)
  • Retail Trade (104 females or 11.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 406 females in total or 43.1% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Cranbourne East employed 31.4% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 9.5% in Education and Training; and 12.4% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Casey Coast and Cranbourne East were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in construction (6.8% compared to 2.3%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed in agriculture, forestry and fishing (4.4% compared to 0.8%)
