Dominant groups

Analysis of the five year age groups of Clyde in 2021 compared to Cranbourne West shows that there was a similar proportion of people in the younger age groups (under 15) and a lower proportion of people in the older age groups (65+).

Overall, 26.9% of the population was aged between 0 and 15, and 3.9% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 26.5% and 7.4% respectively for Cranbourne West.

The major differences between the age structure of Clyde and Cranbourne West were:

  • A larger percentage of persons aged 30 to 34 (14.7% compared to 10.6%)
  • A larger percentage of persons aged 25 to 29 (12.3% compared to 8.4%)
