The size of Pearcedale's labour force in 2021 was 2,035, of which 715 were employed part-time and 1,134 were full time workers.
Analysis of the employment status (as a percentage of the labour force) in Pearcedale in 2021 compared to the City of Whittlesea shows that there was a higher proportion in employment, and a lower proportion unemployed. Overall, 96.6% of the labour force was employed, and 3.4% unemployed, compared with 94.1% and 5.9% respectively for the City of Whittlesea .
