Dominant groups

Analysis of the need for assistance of females in the City of Casey compared to Clyde (Pattersons to Ballarto) shows that there was a higher proportion of females who reported needing assistance with core activities.

Overall, 6.4% of the female population reported needing assistance with core activities, compared with 2.2% for Clyde (Pattersons to Ballarto).

The major differences in the female age groups reporting a need for assistance in Casey Established and Clyde (Pattersons to Ballarto) were:

  • A larger percentage of females aged 80 to 84 (40.8% compared to 33.3%)
  • A larger percentage of females aged 75 to 79 (23.2% compared to 19.0%)
  • A smaller percentage of females aged 85 and over (63.0% compared to 100.0%)
