Dominant groups

Analysis of the need for assistance of females in the City of Casey compared to Clyde (Pattersons to Ballarto) shows that there was a higher proportion of females who reported needing assistance with core activities.

Overall, 6.5% of the female population reported needing assistance with core activities, compared with 2.2% for Clyde (Pattersons to Ballarto).

The major differences in the female age groups reporting a need for assistance in Narre Warren and Clyde (Pattersons to Ballarto) were:

  • A larger percentage of females aged 80 to 84 (41.1% compared to 33.3%)
  • A larger percentage of females aged 75 to 79 (26.8% compared to 19.0%)
