Dominant groups
Analysis of the need for assistance of males in the City of Casey compared to Blacktown City shows that there was a similar proportion of males who reported needing assistance with core activities.
Overall, 5.5% of the male population reported needing assistance with core activities, compared with 5.0% for Blacktown City .
The major differences in the male age groups reporting a need for assistance in Casey Established and Blacktown City were:
- A smaller percentage of males aged 75 to 79 (17.4% compared to 23.2%)
- A smaller percentage of males aged 80 to 84 (26.9% compared to 32.2%)
- A smaller percentage of males aged 70 to 74 (10.8% compared to 15.5%)
- A smaller percentage of males aged 65 to 69 (7.8% compared to 11.4%)
Emerging groups
The major differences in the male age groups reporting a need for assistance between 2006 and 2021 in Casey Established were in the age groups:
