The Age Structure of the non-English speaking population in the City of Canning provides key insights into the level of demand for age based services and facilities such as child care, and language services. Analysis of the Hindi speaking population in the City of Canning in 2021 compared to Greater Perth shows that there was a lower proportion of people in the younger age groups (under 15) as well as a lower proportion of people in the older age groups (65+).
Overall, 19.2% of the Hindi speaking population was aged between 0 and 14, and 2.4% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 20.5% and 3.6% respectively for Greater Perth.
