Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Canning Vale in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (560 females or 21.5%)
- Education and Training (417 females or 16.0%)
- Retail Trade (280 females or 10.7%)
In combination, these three industries employed 1,257 females in total or 48.2% of the total employed female resident population.
In comparison, the City of Canning employed 23.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 13.3% in Education and Training; and 10.2% in Retail Trade.
The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Canning Vale and the City of Canning were:
- A larger percentage of females employed in education and training (16.0% compared to 13.3%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed in health care and social assistance (21.5% compared to 23.8%)
