Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in East Cannington in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (372 females or 25.0%)
  • Retail Trade (183 females or 12.3%)
  • Accommodation and Food Services (163 females or 10.9%)

In combination, these three industries employed 718 females in total or 48.2% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Rossmoyne employed 23.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 9.9% in Retail Trade; and 7.5% in Accommodation and Food Services.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of East Cannington and Rossmoyne were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in administrative and support services (4.8% compared to 1.1%)
