Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Canning City Centre in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Accommodation and Food Services (108 people or 15.1%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (85 people or 11.9%)
  • Retail Trade (78 people or 10.9%)

In combination, these three industries employed 271 people in total or 37.8% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, East Cannington employed 10.3% in Accommodation and Food Services; 14.6% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 10.1% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Canning City Centre and East Cannington were:
