Analysis of the share of the male population attending educational institutions in the City of Canning in 2021 compared to Western Australia shows that there was a similar proportion attending primary school, a higher proportion attending secondary school, and a higher proportion engaged in tertiary level education.
Overall, 8.6% of the male population were attending primary school, 7.4% of the male population were attending secondary institutions, and 10.3% were learning at a tertiary level, compared with 8.6%, 6.8% and 5.5% respectively for Western Australia.
The major differences between the share of the male population attending learning institutions in the City of Canning and Western Australia were:
- A larger percentage of males attending University (7.3% compared to 3.5%)
- A larger percentage of males attending a Government secondary school (5.7% compared to 4.0%)
- A smaller percentage of males not attending (66.6% compared to 69.4%)
