Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in City of Boroondara in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (7,809 males or 17.8%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (4,327 males or 9.9%)
  • Retail Trade (3,707 males or 8.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 15,843 males in total or 36.2% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Greater Melbourne employed 10.3% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; 5.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 8.1% in Retail Trade.
