Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Glen Iris in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (927 females or 21.1%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (618 females or 14.1%)
  • Education and Training (616 females or 14.0%)

In combination, these three industries employed 2,161 females in total or 49.3% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Maling Ward employed 21.6% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 12.1% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 15.5% in Education and Training.
