Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in City of Boroondara in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (9,377 females or 21.7%)
  • Education and Training (5,955 females or 13.8%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (5,719 females or 13.2%)

In combination, these three industries employed 21,051 females in total or 48.7% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Greater Melbourne employed 21.7% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 13.0% in Education and Training; and 8.8% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of the City of Boroondara and Greater Melbourne were:
