Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Kew East in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (258 males or 14.9%)
  • Construction (194 males or 11.2%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (174 males or 10.0%)

In combination, these three industries employed 626 males in total or 36.1% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Canterbury employed 18.5% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; 8.8% in Construction; and 12.2% in Health Care and Social Assistance.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Kew East and Canterbury were:
