Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Kew in 2021 compared to Riversdale Ward shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 31.4% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 9.0% were one-parent families, compared with 21.9% and 5.7% respectively for Riversdale Ward.

There were a lower proportion of lone person households and a similar proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 25.2% compared to 34.9% in Riversdale Ward while the proportion of couples without children was 24.8% compared to 24.8% in Riversdale Ward.
