Analysis of the car ownership of the households in Cotham Ward in 2021 compared to Surrey Hills shows that 92.6% of the households owned at least one car, while 4.8% did not, compared with 92.1% and 5.5% respectively in Surrey Hills.
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a smaller proportion who owned just one car; a larger proportion who owned two cars; and a larger proportion who owned three cars or more.
Overall, 36.1% of the households owned one car; 39.6% owned two cars; and 16.9% owned three cars or more, compared with 37.8%; 38.9% and 15.4% respectively for Surrey Hills.
